Gastric Sleeve Procedure

 

The surgery will take one to two hours. The doctor will cut your belly to insert a laparoscope- this is a device consisting of small cameras that sends images to the monitor. Then the doctor will make other cutting where the medical instruments will be inserted to remove the ¾ portion of your belly. The remaining part of the belly will be re-attached to form a tube or sleeve.

 

  

The procedure is a permanent solution, and you may stay in the hospital for two to three days.
